Covid-19: An update from the Club Chairperson

To All Club Members,

I know you are all raring to get back on the bowls green and your Committee is now looking at the possibility of making this happen. Bowls England have now issued guidelines as to how this might be achieved, and with this advice we shall endeavour to provide a safe environment in order to open our green.

The Government guidelines for the over 70’s was to go into lockdown as from the 23/3/20 for 3 months, and as the majority of our members are over that age we will not be opening our green until after 23/6/20. This will give the Management Committee time to study the Bowls England guidelines and implement those actions. I can assure you it is not straight forward but it will require a great deal of commitment from all members not just your Committee. In the meantime if you would like to read the Bowls England guidelines for clubs the website is as follows:

The Committee will keep members updated with our progress on implementing the procedures and a date when we can open the bowling green.

Mick
