CLUB NEWS - CORONAVIRUS
B.W.B.C. Update June 2020
We are pleased to announce that Broadstone Wessex Bowling Club will be opening again from the 23rd of June, with social distancing and hygiene measures in place to allow a safe environment to be able to play once again.
Although we are opening again, at the moment we will only be open to BWBC members and unfortunately there is no public play. We ask for your understanding with regards to the restrictions, but safety is of paramount importance and all decisions have been taken with this in mind and to help ensure this.
We wish everyone our best wishes again, and hope they and their families stay safe and well.
Broadstone Wessex Bowling Club
Broadstone Wessex Bowling Club is located on the corner of Dunyeats Road and Laurel Drive.
We have been here since 1930 and are celebrating our 90th anniversary this year. Despite being a well established club, we are always looking to expand our family and welcome new people to our friendly club and the sport of bowls. We are lucky to have a beautiful setting, traditional clubhouse, and one of the very finest greens in the local area. Our members are of all ages and come from all walks of life reflecting the fact that bowls really is a sport for everyone. We are open from April till September for outdoor bowling and then open all winter for Short Mat Bowls. If you are interested please explore further and feel free to ring or email us. For new bowlers we have an Open Day every May but if you can't make it please contact us and we will happily arrange to get you on the green at a better suited time for you at any point in the season.
Hopefully we will see you soon.
