New Bowlers
We love the game of bowls at Broadstone Wessex, and we are always looking to share our enjoyment of the game with new people. Bowls is a truly universal and very social game that is perfect for all ages and abilities. We have disabled facilities in the clubhouse as well as disabled access to the green, meaning anyone can join in.

Open Days
We run a free Open day every year in early May for people to come and try out bowls for themselves. All equipment is provided and trained coaches are there to help guide you at every step. All you need to do is wear a pair of flat shoes and that's it! Come along and try it out.

Request an introduction
We understand that people cant't always make open days, so if you are interested at any point in the season you can contact one of the club officials or ring the club house during opening hours and speak to the duty steward, and they can arrange for you to come and try out the game.

Thursday Evening Coaching
The club runs coaching sessions starting in mid May every Thursday evening starting at 6pm, run by our coach Lyn Howard. We provide 4 weeks of free coaching for all prospective new members to try their hand at the game and have coaching available all season for any of our existing members should they want to brush up on any aspect of their game.

Roll Ups
The club is open every day of the week for roll ups, just make sure to ring ahead to check rink availability and play as long as you want. You don't need to be a member of the club to roll up but green fees do apply - £5 for 1hr, £8 for 2 hrs.
